The West Virginia Section of the Pierre Fauchard Academy held its annual awards ceremony and dinner on Wednesday May 6, 2026 at the beautiful Erickson Alumni Center on the campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. The program began at 5:30 p.m. with a reception followed by the awards program and a great dinner.

In this episode, we meet Dr Will Rymer (President of the Irish Dental Association), Dr Paul Leavy (Senior Lecturer, School of Dentistry, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland) and Dr Garry Heavey (Irish Regent of the International College of Dentists). All three are Fellows of the PFA - and continue to contribute to leadership within the profession nationally. This episode examines the evolution of dental practice in Ireland since 1980, its current challenges and ultimately how leadership within the profession is helping both colleagues and patients.
