Galt House Hotel in Louisville

The Annual Meeting of the Kentucky Section of the Pierre Fauchard Academy was held on August 24, 2024 at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville. The meeting was held with the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. Dr. Kim Gardner, the 4th Region Trustee from Ohio, attended the meeting and gave brief remarks. Victoria Crane, the recipient of the PFA Scholarship, from the University of Kentucky, was introduced. The scholarship winner from the University of Louisville, Nicole Trytko, was unable to attend.

Dr. Emily Winfrey, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, was unable to attend the meeting and was inducted into the Kentucky Section of PFA at the college the following week. Dr. Kristy Lawson, an Assistant Team Leader at the College of Dentistry will be inducted at the Annual Session of the American Dental Association in New Orleans.

Dr. Karl Lange received a $5000 grant from the PFA Oral Health Foundation last year for Mission Lexington, a clinic that provides dental care for underserved adults. I believe that is the 4th year in a row. He has applied for another this year and next month I am confident that application will be approved again. Thanks to Karl for always taking the time to apply for funds to help Mission Lexington.
