Southern California Section inducts 14 + 1 new members
14 Southern California Dentists join plus one from New Jersey (region 2)
During the spring meeting of the California Dental Association, the Southern California Section met at the Anaheim Hilton Hotel to induct 15 new members into the Academy, including one from New Jersey, Dr. George Schmidt. Dr. John Taylor, immediate past Section Chair, was recognized with a plaque for his many years of service and PFA Treasurer, Dr. Daniel Castagna was present to provide a PFA update and assist with the inductions. Dr. John Blake, CDA President and PFA Fellow was able to attend as well.
The following new Fellows were recognized and inducted: Drs Anirudha Agnihotry, Chethan Chetty, Evan Farr, Emmanuel Bernard Gross, Hemant Narendra Joshi, Madhavi Joshi, Andrew Scott Levin, Nooshin Noghreian, Neil I. Park, Flavia Pirih, Rafeeq Naina Rahman, BK Atul Rai, Nicholas Salvati, Tim Wong. As noted previously, Dr. George Schmidt from Region 2 was also inducted.
Student Awards were presented to Natalie Black, Dr. David Taves, Elvin Tolentino, and Raquel Linevsky. Unfortunately, they could not be in attendance due to school obligations. Dr. Boris Keselbrener (USC) and Dr. James Ywom (Loma Linda University) were recognized as Teachers of the Year.
The Southern California Section generally meets during the Spring CDA meeting in Anaheim and co-chairs Dr Norman Nagel and RK Chetty look forward to greeting the fellows in 2024.
