Dr Denise Salvestro graduated from Sydney University and worked as a general dental practitioner in Australia, UK and Italy before retiring from clinical practice. In the final twelve years of her practising career Denise worked in remote communities in the Northern Territory where she and her partner were involved in setting up pro bono oral health promotion and dental service delivery programs.

Denise served several terms as President of Australian Dental Association Northern Territory Branch and was a professional officer for Dental Council NSW 2010 to 2021. Denise is currently a board member of the Australian Dental Association Dental Health Foundation’s Advisory Board.
